As with most fluids in your engine, brake fluid can cause serious harm if you get it in your eyes, so be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves. Brake fluid will also make your paint peel off if you spill it on your Ci, so be careful not to spill it. When adding fluid to your Ci, it is important to check your owners manual for the correct type to add - it likely be either DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5, also known as silicone brake fluid.

Do not shake the fluid before pouring it in your vehicle - the air bubbles will foul up your brake lines. Be sure to discard bottles of brake fluid that are over a year old - brake fluid sucks the moisture out of the air and the water vapor in the fluid can rust out your brake lines quickly. Brake fluid breaks down with use and should be changed every 2 years in your BMW Ci or whenever it looks dark in color - this will make the internal brake components last longer. Just about every automotive air conditioning system subscribes to the same basic layout, which makes it simple to diagnose a problem because systems tend to break in the same ways.

Once you know what the issue is, you can make an informed decision about whether you want to make repairs yourself or bring your car to the shop for help. When it does, it runs the air over vanes full of super cold air conditioning fluid, which is called Ra in just about any modern system. After it cools the air, the fluid is warm, and it expands into an evaporator.

There are also some external parts of your system, which include the HVAC controls on your dash, the vents you use to direct airflow and the fans that circulate cabin air. Some systems use fluid that is visible in black light, so if you suspect a leak, you can look for stains in your garage or parking spot.

Recharging the air conditioning system on your BMW is a straightforward process you can do yourself. Unfortunately, AC systems can break from the inside.

This typically happens because of a phenomenon mechanics call the black death. To avoid this, make sure you take your car in for an air conditioning system evaluation occasionally.

A professional might be necessary to find the problem and fix it. Owning the ultimate driving machine is a great experience, but when the sun is hot, a car without air conditioning is the ultimate torture device.

This is true inside our homes, businesses, and of course, our cars. BMW vehicles are especially advanced when it comes to driver comfort, and their air conditioning systems are no joke. In hot temperatures, air conditioning is critical, as it provides us relief from the heat.

Furthermore, in heavy traffic conditions they tend to make life a lot more bearable. Diagnosing air condition system issues in a BMW is not much different from that of other cars. In fact, there is a series of steps to follow and questions to ask before you bring the car in to a professional. Noticing signs of dwindling air conditioner performance can be helpful, but sometimes these things seem to happen completely overnight.

If your BMW is experiencing air conditioning failurethe following information might be helpful for you to know. A differential diagnosis is a method that automotive professionals use to find the cause of the problem the client is currently experiencing.

For instance, there is a sequence of questions one might ask themselves when trying to isolate the specific part of the BMW that needs replacement or repair.

When it comes to air conditioning problems, these are the three most important questions to ask yourself:. If after turning on your air conditioning to full blast you notice that nothing happens at all, it could be simply related to an electrical switch issue with the air conditioning button. You might not have any air coming out at all—or at least it may seem that way.

However, if air blows even the slightest bit but is weak, then the problem could be traced to the blower motor or HVAC blower. If the temperature of the air coming out of the vents is warm or not cool at all, then the issue could be related to a Freonor refrigerantleak.

Freon is the fluid that circulates through your air conditioning system and causes the air coming out to be cool. There are several different possible causes of air conditioning failure, and this elicits the need for a professional BMW mechanic to perform a differential diagnosis.

Isolating the source of the problem is important in order to save time and money in repair work. These are the two most common reasons for air conditioning failure in a BMW vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter. The air compressor is what generates power, causing the air to blow through the vents. If the air compressor begins to diminish in performance or is in need of repair, it could cause the flow of the air coming through the vents to be extremely dampened.

As we mentioned before, Freon leaks can cause your air conditioner to produce only warm air—or at least not cold air. This could further be due to any other number of issues including O-ring failure or a particular seals deterioration. A thorough inspection of your air conditioning system will quickly detect a Freon leak and can quite easily be traced back to where the leak began.

Since air conditioning in your BMW is essential, especially during summer months, we always make it a point to inspect air conditioning parts routinely throughout the year so that our clients are never left without working air conditioning.

If the reviews are positive, this can translate into a big sales lift for the retailer, so it makes sense that a business would want to encourage public customer feedback. Not only is it unethical to pay someone to leave a positive review, but if it's discovered as a fake, your business reputation could take a serious hit. For this reason, Amazon recently banned incentivized reviews to ensure that all product reviews are authentic and genuine.

Letting your customers know that reviews help increase your business, or help you figure out where your product or service needs improvement, will encourage them to leave a review. The point of showing reviews and testimonials is to share your brand with prospects and being genuine is always the best practice. If you do choose to offer free or discounted products in exchange for a review by an "influencer," such as a blogger or social media user with a lot of followers, be aware that the Federal Trade Commission has a set of detailed Endorsement Guides for anyone publicly endorsing a product at the request of a brand.

According to the FTC's website, these guides are meant to disclose advertiser relationships and "reflect the basic truth-in-advertising principle that endorsements must be honest and not misleading. FTC guidelines notwithstanding, Matt Iswariah of Luxzura said he thinks influencers should always mention if they received a product for free or at a discount, even if they're not doing a full review. I see many blogs that do include disclaimers to show how they received the product," Iswariah said.

If a customer agrees to leave you a review, keep an eye out for it online, Osmond said. When it goes live, you should call your customer and thank them for the review and their candor.

If it was a negative review, this is a great opportunity to find out how your business can improve, he added. Looking for more tips on working with social influencers.
